Why haven't the early 90's come back yet? The early 80's came back in the early 90's. I remember going to my first 80's dance when I was a freshman in college. But they stuck around, dominating retro-appreciation for the last fifteen years. Remember when what we liked about the 80's was A-Ha and Cindy Lauper. And then we remembered Wham! and Dead or Alive. Later, the "cool" 80's came back - punk, post-punk, no-wave, super-gay new romantics. We looked back at scenes we didn't actually live through, like italo disco and experimental German house music.

Ok, I'm onto something here... there's a part 2 to this.
